Many states in the US have fatherhood organizations or those that support non-custodial dads in their efforts to remain a viable part of their children's lives. We all know how tough that can be when it seems that the family law system has some built-in biases that tend to disadvantage dads in the process.
Recently, I caught up with the folks who run Illinois Fathers and I registered and took a long look at the resources they offer to dads in Illinois. I was really impressed! They have a robust website with lots of resources including a very comprehensive online forum (requires an easy registration process) and lots of links, events, access to support groups and help with political action. OK, other state fathers' organizations, take note. The dads in Illinois have a great resource and the organization has set a high bar!
I wrote up a few thoughts about this organization and its resources for dads in the state. Then visit their website and see for yourself what they offer to fathers and others interested in fathers' rights in Illinois!
