Recently I had an opportunity to learn more about FatherWork at Brigham Young University. FatherWork is a part of the Center for Family Studies at BYU and is working on something called Generative Fathering. Generative fathering is a focus on fathering that has multi-generational implications. Kind of like looking at your children and the work you do with them in a longer term perspective - what you teach them will impact their children and future generations.
Their website has a collection of stories from fathers and families that explore these long-term fatherhood implications and also has information about research done by their faculty and students around how fathers can best influence current and future generations.
This is an organization that is doing so much good for fathers, families, social workers and therapists to promote strong families and fathers.
