Breaking Pornography Addictions: Web Resources

By Wayne Parker, About.com

Here are some of my recommendations for websites that offer help and hope in dealing with sexual addiction.

Man on the Road is an excellent Christian-based website for overcoming porn addiction.

Blazing Grace Forumsoffers an online accountability forum and spouse support forum for sex and porn addiction.

Bsafe is a first rate server-side filter for your home or office computer.

Enough is Enough is a national non-partisan, non-profit organization. Our focus is on the Internet, which reaches millions of children in homes, schools, and libraries, and where there are two primary threats: children's easy access to pornography and pedophiles' easy access to children.

Covenant Eyes is an Internet accountability tool which emails all sites you visit to an accountability partner or spouse. An excellent tool in porn addiction recovery.

Affirmware is a software program that allows you to set up affirmations and "program your mind" for ten minutes every day to change your life for the better. Many recovering addicts recommend this program to help you focus your recovery efforts every day.

Overcoming Sex Addiction is a good article from San Jose Counseling Services about sex addiction.

Sexaholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop lusting and become sexually sober.

SelfControls is an online recovery and measurement tool that allows you to set up a recovery program from any addiction and monitor your progress.
