Having served so many years in the Scouting program with my sons and many other young men, I found that Scout leaders often serve as role models for other young people who don't have fathers in the home or even in their lives. It can be tricky being a good male role model who offers support and an example to a young person without treading in areas that run afoul of the young man or young woman's family life. But it is an important endeavor and one that is worth our effort!
When a man finds himself in a situation where he is working with a child without a father, he needs to step up his game and be an effective role model for that child. Learn how to develop the skills and attitudes that will help you be successful as a male role model.
