Lessons from Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane SandyEvery time there is a hurricane, tornado or earthquake, our hearts go out to the victims.  Nature occasionally reminds us of our own powerlessness against the elements, and incidents like the recent Hurricane Sandy can cause us all to reflect on our own mortality.

But these natural disasters can also remind us of the need to be prepared.  Some of the recent news articles have focused on neighborhoods pulling together and how neighbors with generators are sharing the access to power with many of their friends and other neighbors.

These resources might help any family to become better prepared for a natural disaster or an act of terrorism that disrupts their lives.
