I received an email this morning from my good friend Roland Warren, the president of the National Fatherhood Initiative indicating that he was stepping down as president and would be appointed to the board of directors. He will be changing employment and will lead another non-profit organization for which he has a passion.
Roland has been a tireless advocate for responsible fatherhood for many years. He has written extensively about fatherhood, including a couple of guest blog posts here at About.com Fatherhood. He has in every case elevated the conversation and encouraged men to step up to their responsibilities as a father. The NFI will have a difficult time filling the president's role with a man as committed to and passionate about fatherhood as Roland Warren has been.
We wish Roland well and know that his continued contributions to fatherhood as a member of the NFI Board will allow him to keep involved in this movement that he has served so well.
