Dad and School Child Reading Courtesy of Getty ImagesIt is back to school time, and as dads we often kind of check out of the whole back to school thing.  But the fact is that we can have a big influence on the kind of experience our kids have at school all year long.

One of the things lots of dads feel passionately about is keeping their kids safe at school.  Dads can also work on issues like cyberbullying and making sure that their kids are safe from people who would want to harm them.

Sometimes our children learn some things at school that we wish they would not have picked up.  Learn what you can do about kids and sexting or what to do when your son or daughter start wearing fashions that don't meet your standards of modesty.

More and more dads are getting involved with their kids' education more directly than ever.  So, find some time to volunteer in the classroom, help with homework and figure out how to talk to your kids about their grades.  You can even start thinking about great science fair projects!

Getting involved in your child's education is one of the best things a dad can do for his children.  So take the opportunity and set some goals about what you will do this year to help your children succeed at school.
