Let me say at the outset that I am an unabashed fan of Dutch oven cooking. I have always loved to cook and I am a big camping nut, so the combination of those two things led me to a fascination with Dutch oven cooking. Cooking with a Dutch oven works out over the campfire, in the backyard or at a big family or neighborhood gathering. And it is a fun family activity done in the outdoors, which appeals to me and many of the dads I interact with.
We recently had a neighborhood Dutch oven evening, and there were two amazing dishes there that I had not seen before. Both of them, the Dutch Oven Chicken Corn Chowder and the Cherry Chocolate Delight, were relatively easy to prepare and cook and the outcomes were amazingly delicious.
