My youngest son leaves this week for a two-year church mission. Over the last few years that he has been the last one at home, we have become very good friends. It is hard to say goodbye for two years; we will only be able to communicate via email and a very occasional phone call. I am glad that my next oldest son will be moving back home for the summer to work in between his college semesters so it will ease my transition into being at home without a son.
Fathers and sons often have great relationships, but many fathers and sons struggle to stay close during the growing up years. These ideas will help fathers and sons develop a strong father son relationship and keep it that way.
