So says a study from North Carolina State University. Researchers suggest that a close father-daughter relationship often leads a daughter into the same career field as her father. The study says that daughters who are close to their dads tend to adopt some of the career skills their fathers possess, and thus do well in the same career path. Read a news report on this study from PhysOrg.com and see if this sounds anything like your family story. (By the way, my college aged daughter is majoring in the same field of study I did. Not sure if we'll end up in the same career field, but we certainly have common interests.)
