Have you seen "Snoop Dog's Father Hood" on the E! Channel yet? Some of my friends have been surprised at the parenting style of Snoop Dog or the other rapper dads featured on reality television shows like this one and "Rev. Run" on MTV. But some African American dads think the shows do a disservice to black fathers and families. This article from the Boston Globe sheds some light on these and other issues facing African American families in real life.
